B2B industrial goods marketplace Moglix has forayed into the UK and European markets, expanding into new regions at a time when the world is in greater need of COVID-19 supplies like personal protective equipment.
Besides expanding its operations overseas, Moglix has also started supporting healthcare providers, essential industries and the Indian government with its new products from the PPE category.
This was an expected move from the company which offers products for businesses that have bulk requirements and those with employees who have a high risk of exposure to the coronavirus.
The launch of its operations in the UK and Europe was announced by Rahul Garg, the founder of Moglix. However, it is not clear as to which countries in the continent Moglix is delivering.
Source has sent queries to Moglix and we’ll update the post as and when it responds.
One of the well-funded companies in B2B procurement of the industrial supplies segment, Moglix provides easy access to MRO, safety, electricals, lighting, cleaning & housekeeping, office stationery & supplies, and power tools.
Its close competitor, Power2SME, has also started offering PPE products on its platform.
Moglix has so far raised over $100 million from the likes of Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, Jungle Ventures, Venture Highway and International Finance Corporation.
It was also among a few startups which rewarded their employees with ESOP buyback and recorded a high jump in revenue and improved unit economics during the last fiscal.
